By using Stillwater, you agree to these terms. Please read them carefully — they include important limitations on our responsibility to you.

Who can use Stillwater

Stillwater is available to people 13 years of age or older who can form a legally binding contract in the United States.

Not a medical service

Stillwater is a self-help wellness tool. It is not a medical device, not a diagnostic tool, and not a substitute for professional evaluation, therapy, or crisis intervention. See our medical disclaimer for details.

Emergencies

Stillwater is not a crisis service and does not monitor your entries. If you are in danger of harming yourself or someone else, call 911 immediately, or contact the 988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline by calling or texting 988.

Acceptable use

• Don't use Stillwater to harass, threaten, or endanger yourself or anyone else.
• Don't attempt to break, scrape, or reverse-engineer the service.
• Don't use Stillwater to provide medical or therapeutic advice to third parties.

Your content

Journal entries and mood check-ins you create belong to you. In the current version they are stored on your device and are not transmitted to us.

Disclaimer of warranties

Stillwater is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or appropriate for your particular situation.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Stillwater and its operators are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or revenues, arising from your use of the service — including any harm you or another person experiences relating to a mental-health condition. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations, so parts of this section may not apply to you.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the United States and the state in which the operator is based, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles.

Changes

We may update these terms. Continued use of Stillwater after an update means you accept the revised terms.
